Hi, still seeking a solution for pasting unformatted text using Word for Mac (v16.29) with a single command. Standard way takes three steps: Right-click Paste Special Unformatted Text You suggest Paste and Match Formatting, but that doesn’t paste unformatted text: it keeps formatting and attempts to match formatting. However, if you have to do this a lot, there’s another, much easier, way — assign a keyboard shortcut to the ‘paste as unformatted text’ command. Note: As far as I’m aware you can do this in all versions of Word from at least Word 2010 onwards. I bounce between Mac OS Firefox 2 (now 3) and Windows XP Pro and copy/paste throughout the day. Mostly between Windows Outlook 2007 and Mac Firefox 2 (now 3), but sometimes between Windows Excel or Word and Mac Firefox. Mostly copy from Windows and paste to Mac OX but sometimes the other way. 99.99% of the time text-only. On most apps that you can paste text in, you can remove the formatting with the Ctrl+Shift+V keyboard shortcut. In Word, this shortcut does nothing however, if you’d like to use it to paste text without formatting, you can set it up to do so. Open Word and go to FileOptions. Select the Customize Ribbon tab.
